UPDATE: WOW, You’re a MORON (When the internet attacks!)

Just a quick update:

Dear Internet, thanks for having my back. I am amazed at the response I have had. Unfortunately I think this kid only bought the xbox from the actual robber for $200 and then tried to act tough by leaving me that message, apparently he didn’t know that I roll deep. The kid is scared and I will be in contact with his parents shortly so there’s probably no need to continue harassing him. He is already immortalized by the internet as a MORON!

I especially enjoyed the AIM logs.

I guess that’s the problem with posse justice. If some of the commenters from your original post had their way, that kid would be hanging from a tree this morning. Let that be a lesson to you, intarnet.

However, maybe this experience will scare that kid straight in the future and steer him away from the thug lifestyle he apparently idolizes.

Among the less extreme suggestions posted, I think your best bet for getting the police involved will be to contact their public relations officer and express concern for all parties involved (including the kid who may or may not be guilty). Anything more direct may get YOU in trouble with the police. Good luck… I hope this gets resolved and the offending parties get punished. Please keep us informed.

Yes, but he looks an awful lot like the dude in the pawn shop surveillance video. Did he buy the powerbook too?
